| Mount Prospect, part of Elk Grove Township and Wheeling Township, is a village in Cook County, Illinois located 22 miles northwest of downtown Chicago and just minutes from both O'Hare and Palwaukee airports. Mount Prospect was incorporated as a village in 1917. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 56,265. |

What Makes Mt. Prospect Unique?
- Downtown Mount Prospect's town center is a pleasant area, bustling with activity. The town center has experienced significant private and public reinvestment over the past several years. Residential convenience goods are interspersed with banks, government services, restaurants and service establishments. Thanks in part to an award-winning facade improvement program and streetscaping, the town center has become a popular place for pedestrians, shoppers and businesses.
- Recreation Four area park districts serve residents by maintaining almost 400 acres of parks and recreation facilities within the Village. The Mount Prospect and River Trails Park Districts provide a vast array of recreational and relaxation activities for both adults and children at the RecPlex and Marvin Weiss recreation centers. The park districts also provide an outdoor wave pool, two golf courses, miniature golf course, sled hill, outdoor skating rinks, playgrounds, ball fields and tennis courts that are available to all residents. In addition, facilities of the 60,000 acre Cook County Forest Preserve system are nearby.
- Housing A wide array of housing stock is available within the Village of Mount Prospect. An excellent housing stock provides ample diversity for your employee needs. You will find a strong apartment market with apartment complexes providing varying degrees of amenities. There are excellent opportunities for the first time home buyer to enter the housing market.
