South Barrington is a wealthy suburb of Chicago and home to the famous megachurch Willow Creek Community Church. The village is known throughout the area for its extreme affluence, and is on the list of the 100 wealthiest towns in the nation.
What Makes South Barrington Unique?
  • Willow Creek Community Church is a non-denominational, Evangelical Christian megachurch. It was founded on October 12, 1975 by Bill Hybels, who is currently the Senior Pastor. The church has three weekend services averaging more than 20,000 attendees, making it the second largest church in the United States after Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. The church has been listed as the most influential church in America the last several years in a national poll of pastors.
  • Walter Payton South Barrington was the home of the late pro football hall of famer and former Bear's running back.
  • Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm has been in the farm market business for 58 years. This 40 acre farm is home to a fall pumkin festival where families can enjoy games, rides, and pumpkin picking.
